I Should Be Able to Do a Full Month’s Worth of Posting in February, What With It Being a Shorter Month and All, Right? Right?
RPG Maker Stuff / February 1, 2017

Alrighty then.  Got a new Minnow sized review up at the sister site.  Managed to end January with a post everyday.  Didn’t finish the simple first act verison of my RPG Maker game, which is a bummer, but I hope to progress. Tomorrow is another day.  And month.  Let’s hope for improvements all around! Cause we all could use that right now. from Welltun Cares Presents http://ift.tt/2jthKqf #AuthorMattCole #UtilizingRPGMaker

Robin, Of Course, Keeps His Eyes Right Where They Belong as a Good Side Kick Should
RPG Maker Stuff / January 30, 2017

A few quick thoughts about the above cover: I love how Green Arrow has a nice clear view of what’s happening to Batman and seems to be doing nothing.  Seems to be is the operative word: he’s no doubt thinking “Do it!  Do it!”  Tired of being referred to as a lame Batman ripoff, are we? The slightest move will kill Batman.  Which means Knife Lad there is over doing things a little.  Just push the wheelchair around a bit.  Perfect crime, no one would ever know.  Unless he wants people to know, then never mind. Speaking of the slightest move thing, that’s not a lot of bandages for a dude in critical condition.  And shoddily put on to boot. Wait, wait, wait.  Why do they have a guy who can die at the slightest move in a wheelchair? Green Lantern gets listed on the side, but doesn’t appear on the cover, winning him this week’s “Least Respected Super Hero Since Aquaman award.” Seriously?  Why is Batman in a wheelchair?  I can buy still in his costume, if the slightest move could kill him.  But a wheelchair?  Really? I also love how Black Canary is hushing the two guys.  Imagine…

First Power Girl Image of the New Year!, or As It Has Been Said, When In Doubt Put Up a Power Girl Image
RPG Maker Stuff / January 28, 2017

Kind of.   Sort of. The woman holding the downed Supergirl is our girl Kara in a less typical union suit.  So it is Power Girl. Only not. God I love comics. I also love this picture.  I would not kick at all if they made Kara Superwoman.  Instead of Lois Lane.  Whom apparently they killed immediately off (don’t worry, they had a spare.) As for poor Supergirl there… well… at least she wasn’t brought down by mice, right? from Welltun Cares Presents http://ift.tt/2jCjz2i #AuthorMattCole #UtilizingRPGMaker

Goblinstomper! Development Diary (XXV): Real World Woes
RPG Maker Stuff / January 26, 2017

As the real world doesn’t care what I want to do, there might be an interruption of service here.  Fingers cross it won’t be a major, but there are signs that it could be. It happens.  Entirely too often. As far as the game goes, I did another cut scene.  Hopefully tomorrow I can tell you more about it. from Welltun Cares Presents http://ift.tt/2k5L4Te #AuthorMattCole #UtilizingRPGMaker

Goblinstomper! Development Diary (XXIV): Playtesting
RPG Maker Stuff / January 25, 2017

Not much to report.  Did a little play testing.  Found some bugs and repaired them.  Transferred maps from the old game to the new one.  That sort of thing. I’ll be more chatty tomorrow. from Welltun Cares Presents http://ift.tt/2kgiWtJ #AuthorMattCole #UtilizingRPGMaker

An interesting writer on his RPG Maker Game
RPG Maker Stuff / January 24, 2017

I came across Goblin Stumper awhile back, and find his journal interesting. As he works on his RPG Maker, he blogs about it. The game he has titled and developing is GoblinStomper. The link provides his current updates, thus far. You have to start at the bottom of the page and read up, unfortunately. However, as he creates his game, he reviews the core processes. These include storyline, maps, events, switches, and additional outside links for references. I find it an interesting read, and will probably share his future updates on my site as well, giving him credit. While working with RPG Maker, he also utilizes Scrivener, a writing software for authors. Check him out.   For the best reference book out there, check out my Utilizing RPG Maker VX Ace Lite book. #AuthorMattCole #UtilizingRPGMaker

Utilizing RPG Maker VX Ace Lite – Book Cover Peek
RPG Maker / December 28, 2016

Now that I have my first novel under my belt, Sight and Sound, moving onto to my next book.  This is a technical reference book for the free program RPG Maker VX Ace Lite. The program is available through Steam, and can be downloaded freely. Looking around on Amazon, I noticed no books were on the subject. Additionally, I just finished providing an online class to some kids using the free application. It went toward a computer credit. Personally, I have used RPG Maker back with prior Window versions. It is a great game developer application, that allows you to play with creating RPG (Role Playing Game) worlds. I have been working on creating a reference book for this free application. I am now working on the cover design, as I have my beta readers review my material. I am hoping to have this up and available in January 2017.  I wanted to provide a sneak peek of the cover design and my current project. The above is another idea for the cover. #AuthorMattCole

Sight and Sound Update – My First Official Novel
Conversations , Sight and Sound / December 8, 2016

I wanted to reach out and update all. My first novel is now published through Amazon, via digital. I have the proof (paperback) sent to me. I should receive it next week. If it looks good, it will be my first available print book.   Obviously excited about this new step. The digital book is currently available to be purchased. You can purchase the digital version, here. I would really appreciate the readers feedback on the first book of a planned series. Going forward, I will be creating books in paperback and digital version. Amazon Author Page This book is available on Smashwords or Amazon ! My next step is to finish the “Utilizing RPG Maker VX Ace Lite” book. This will be a walkthrough, technical book to provide all the details of the available free Game Maker software. I have this 3/4 finished. As of now, it has just over 75000 words, with pics. I already have a willing beta reader for this book waiting. Once that is complete, I can work on the second edition of “Utilizing IFTTT”. As of now the current books are digital only, and need to be upgraded. However, for now, I wish to think…
